Tshwane University of Technology

The Tshwane University of Technology was established in 2004, following the merger of Technikon Northern Gauteng, Technikon Pretoria and part of Vista University. The university has since grown rapidly, and now has six campuses across Gauteng province.

The photography programme at TUT is offered at the Soshanguve North campus. This campus is located just north of Pretoria, making it easily accessible for students from all over Gauteng.

The programme is offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Students can choose to study either a three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree or a two-year Master’s degree. Both programmes offer a variety of courses that cover all aspects of photography, from history and theory to practical techniques.
